We are both proud and humble to announce that we are the winners of General Mills' 2024 competition. Our team, led by the talented Chef Rebecca Thomas, created an award-winning recipe for Strawberry Cream Biscuit Bites... a sweet treat featuring fried biscuits and creamy, strawberry filling. The Dixie Grill has been feeding Live Oak since 1959 — and under Chef Rebecca and GM Robbie, the legend just keeps getting better. Pull up a chair; there's always room at our table.
We stopped by for lunch and had the fried green tomatoes, shrimp salad and the strawberry cheesecake bites. Everything was so good! Can’t wait to be back!
I've eaten here several times, and I think my only complaint is they give you too much food! Seriously, that's not a complaint. I had breakfast here this morning, and it was delicious. Eggs over medium, sausage patties, grits, and potatoes with onions and peppers. The grits were fantastic, perhaps the best I've had anywhere. Also, try the coconut cream pie. My server was very attentive and nice as could be.
Biscuits and gravy was like Granny's, brought back childhood memories on Mother's Day with my children. I really enjoyed everything.
