The Dixie Grill has been feeding Live Oak since 1959 — and under Chef Rebecca and GM Robbie, the legend just keeps getting better. Pull up a chair; there's always room at our table.
Live Oak's Gathering Place Since 1959
Mr. and Mrs. Wade opened the Dixie Grill in Live Oak, Florida — and from day one, it was never just a restaurant. Over sixty-five years later, that spirit of warm welcome still sets the table for everything we do.
A Family Legacy Passed With Pride
Charles and Myra built a loyal, cross-generational following — earned plate by plate. When they passed the reins to son Robbie and his wife Rebecca, the love for this place came right along with them.
Chef Rebecca Brings Fine Dining South
Rebecca Thomas trained at Johnson & Wales and sharpened her craft at MC Kitchen under Chef Dena Marino. She brought that fine-dining ambition straight back to Live Oak — think Dixie Benedict on a buttery biscuit, or chicken and waffles on a mac-and-cheese waffle.
Award-Winning, And Just Getting Started
In 2024, Rebecca won the General Mills Biskies National Recipe Competition — putting Live Oak on the culinary map and Becca's Biscuit Bites on every must-try list. We wear that honor proudly, but the real reward is your first bite.
Community, Coffee, and What's Next
The Resurrection Cafe brought craft espresso — Deconstructed Turtle Affogato, Café Cubano, beans from Across the River Roasters — guided by a simple creed: Christ. Community. Coffee. Robbie and Rebecca keep investing in their staff, their neighbors, and the next chapter of a story that started in 1959.
